As 2016 beckons, here are your favourite recipes featured on Knead to Dough in the last year. Cheers to many more in the New Year!
By far the most popular recipe on my blog this year has been my Cookie Dough Brownies! They combine a soft cookie dough base with a deliciously soft, gooey brownie topping. In my eyes, and clearly in lots of yours too, that stands for brownie heaven!
Here’s to hoping that you’ll continue to love them in 2016! If you fancy a change, you can also try my Gooey Hazelnut Brownies or my S’mores Brownies to ward off the winter cold (as if you needed an excuse!).
This is a recipe that I really didn’t expect to take off the way it has! Until last summer, I had never even tasted Lavender and was very sceptical of the flavour but, as the saying goes, don’t knock something until you’ve tried it! Try it I did and I fell in love. The result? These Lavender and Vanilla Shortbread Stars!
Buttery, sweet, and aromatic, these biscuits are everything you could want in shortbread. Once it’s back in season, you can expect plenty more Lavender based recipes this spring/summer! For a more festive take, try my Orange and Vanilla Chai Spiced Shortbread instead!
Coffee, Maple, and Pecan Cookies! This flavour combination just shouts Autumn/Winter to me so make the most of them this season! The warming coffee and maple with the added crunch of pecans works perfectly in these chewy cookies, even if I do say so myself.
For a cookie that uses up your lingering Christmas leftovers, a batch of my Christmas Pudding Cookies have novelty, practicality, and taste covered!
This one comes up time and time again as a popular recipe on my blog. The flavours in this Vanilla Chai Spiced Tea Bread are accented beautifully with the sweet Orange Drizzle while the aromatic tea infusion adds multiple layers of flavour to the tea bread.
It also offers me the perfect excuse to bake more ‘tea breads’ rather than ‘actual bread’ which I’m supposed to be practising too but… my sweet tooth beats my will power most days! More bread will be on the way in 2016 though, thanks to the success of my Pizza Rolls I’m feeling inspired to bring you more recipes of the strong flour variety!
